Accept the fact that downline death is a reality of life and you need to compensate for it.

If you are just starting out, pick biz-ops that provide lots of training and promotional tools that you can not only use yourself, but can show ¨newbie¨ downline members how to use too.

Put your efforts into quality biz-ops that provide real services and are proven performers. These are more likely to be around in the future. My personal bias is towards businesses that offer ongoing recurring services. But that's just me, there is nothing wrong with promoting one-off products to get more diversification.

Make sure you understand the commission structure. This can affect how you present the opportunity in your own advertising.

Help your active downline members as much as you can. Their success becomes your success.

An ad-tracker tool to measure click rates on adverts and links is an essential basic measuring tool. I really wish I had used one sooner myself. It was a real eye-opener for me to discover which promotions on which safelists and traffic exchanges were giving me clickthrus and sign-ups and which ones weren't.

If you are not measuring, then you don't know. And if you don't know, any action to fix things could be just based on a wild guess on your part and may make things worse.

What works today may not work to-morrow. So its vital you monitor the effectiveness of what you are doing. You don't want to spend months promoting something that doesn't work.

Keep working away until you find the right biz-ops and methods of promoting them that works for you. Then just keep repeating that, all the time monitoring your results to see if anything needs altering because of new trends or lack of success.
