Making Money Online With Paid To Read Email Programs
PTR or Paid to read email programs are very popular with newbies and others
with limited computer skills. They appeal to people who want to start making money online but are not sure how to go about it. They are
easy to understand and you can earn some cash in your spare time.
How do paid read email programs
work?
These programs pay you cash for reading email advertisements in your browser. The amount you earn for each view is
small, in the 1/4 to 1 cent range. The best paid to read programs are those that pay you quickly. You normally have to view each advertisement
for around 20 - 30 seconds. You are definitely not going to get rich quickly earning around $1 an hour !
So how do you make any money with them?
Some people specialise in this type of program. They focus on
getting other people to sign up underneath them as a referral ie. become their downline member. Most paid to read programs pay
you a percentage based on the earnings of your downline members to a number of levels. The theory is that if you can get enough downline
members under you, you will earn large amounts of money because you get a commission based on their
earnings from the work they do.
The operator of a successful paid-to-read web site needs to have some ways of earning cash. One way they do this is by
selling advertising space to other businesses. The PTR operator pays the members any money owed to them for reading the
advertisements, and hopefully makes a profit after paying website hosting and business costs. A PTR web site with a large
membership (say 10,000 members) can probably charge an advertiser more than a smaller PTR site, as the advertising will be
seen by a larger number of people.
Our experience has been that many PTR programs run into difficulties over time for one reason or another. This can be because the owner
lacks the resources to run it properly once it reaches a large membership size or decides the money earned can´t justify the effort needed. Or
maybe they just get bored with it and decide they want to do something else.
Our recommendation
Because of the difficulties that these programs always seem to run into, we don't recommend them. Even very good ones such
as ItPaysToLearn have either disappeared, or changed the way they operate.
But there are lots of paid to read programs around, and new ones spring up all the time. So if you do find a good one,
then it might be worth joining.
Always compare the amount you get paid with what advertisers are charged. That can be your first clue that something is not right with
the way the web site is run. Does anyone really believe that they will get paid $1 for each advertisement they view, while the advertiser
is only charged a few cents per view?
There may be nothing wrong with many paid email programs, but I´m not prepared to recommend any to
you.
For those of you still thinking of joining paid to read programs, a useful site is GPT Boycott. There you will find lists of paid to read and other programs that are considered
doubtful.
