Getting Paid

Virtually all internet money transactions are done electronically. Nearly everyone uses a reputable payment services provider or their credit card to make payments. PayPal for example has over 78 million clients!

Payment Providers

We recommend you use payment service providers whenever possible. These are an ideal way to receive money owing to you for commissions or product sales.

When you need pay others, you can fund these provider accounts from either your bank account or credit card, and be confident the details remain secure. Most allow transfers back to your bank account or credit card as well. This means you only need to keep small balances with them if you are the worrying type.

Many online businesses use these same service providers and they provide a very convenient, prompt and secure way to manage your online transactions.

Now would be a very good time to set up accounts with the major provider PayPal. For added security, use 8 to 12 character passwords that use a mix of letters and numbers.  For example -  abC73QuV5u.

Use your primary email address. This is the one you use for contact with family and friends, business contacts etc that you check daily. The reason for this will become clear once you start signing up for programs. If you have a credit card, supply the details when you sign up so your account has 'verified' status. This will make transfers in and out of your account much easier for you.

Sign up with one of the most popular payement providers and start accepting credit card payments instantly.

Once you have signed up, you will be emailed your account login details and passwords. NEVER store these passwords on your computer, and NEVER automatically remember them in your browser. Keep a written copy of your login user name and password in a safe place off-line.

There are other payment providers around, but PayPal will meet most of your everyday needs.

One restriction Paypal imposes is that they do not allow payments to and from websites which operate multilevel commission structures. This is not a problem if you are just running your own website and simply want to receive money from your customers or pay for services or software. But it can present some difficulties if you are involved in affiliate marketing, or run an affiliate scheme for your own products that has more than one commission level.

Multi-level commission schemes are very common on the internet, and the introduction of this restriction early in 2006 affected a lot of web sites.

StormPay is another popular payment provider. We have purchased some useful software at very good prices on the auction site, so its worth joining for that reason alone. StormPay also provide an opportunity for you to earn a few cents every few days by clicking on paid advertisements. These earnings can be transferred to your account every time you reach $1.

Although StormPay is not suitable for use as a general payment provider, its still worth joining just to earn a few dollars with little effort. Then use this cash for useful software purchases from time to time.

Earn as well with this payment provider
